In the wake of the riots in Minneapolis, many small immigrant-owned mom and pop shops were left with windows smashed, inventory missing, and no way to bounce back.
Thanks to organizations like CAIR Minnesota, these businesses are getting back on their feet.
Where FBC stepped in was to tell the stories of these small shop owners. In brief and personal documentary pieces, we used raw interviews and b-roll to show how these individuals grew their business, their experiences with the riots, and how CAIR Minnesota helped them jumpstart their livelihoods.
