KUDO

Brand Video

PROJECT INFO

About the project

KUDO was looking for a sleek explainer video with a conversational, tech-driven style. Since KUDO is a tech platform (they offer live language translations on their web conferencing platform), we knew our job was to show off all of the platform’s bells and whistles, while maintaining a clean, state-of-the-art tone.

Location and set dressing were the first key elements in creating the clean, techy style. Our mood board was filled with bright whites, clean glass, and an open floor plan that evoked an office space without needing to actually be in one. Then, we found the location and set items to match:

  • Super clean white loft space. (Check).
  • Light touches of foliage. (Check).
  • Artistic furniture placement to create a bright pseudo-office look. (Check).

Next was finding the perfect talent to strike the balance between casual and deliberate. Someone who could talk right to the camera about video conferencing features and make it feel like a conversation. (Check).

Finally, one of the cornerstones of the video came together in post-production – seamlessly integrating demonstrations of the KUDO platform. We wanted to create a high-tech feel to the video, and highlight every usage of the platform as smooth and easy to operate. With a combination of real platform walkthroughs, and staged web conferencing moments, we illustrated all of the key KUDO processes in a way that flowed right in with the rest of the video.

Putting it all together, we have a clean and digestible tech ad that both grabs and educates the audience. Plus, thanks to KUDO, we can finally open that office in Paris.
