The current global pandemic triggered a massive shift in the creative world, and forced many departments across multiple industries to quickly adapt and change processes. From remote video-shoots to real time edit sessions, here’s how we’ve adjusted our services to keep things rolling with the WFH-ers:
Remote Video Shoots
Fast internet, a few A/V cables, camera crew + a video conference call, and you’ve got the formula for a solid remote video production. Remote video shoots provide flexibility and comfortability for clients. It allows them to be a part of the production while sitting in the comfort of their own homes. Remote shoots allow our clients to monitor a live camera feed from anywhere in the world just by joining a video call. It’s as close as you can get to being on-set without actually being there. Other team members can quickly join and check in too, all watching as takes are captured in real time. It’s a great approach for getting quick approval on setups and scene-takes, without the hassle of making formal reviews.
Remote Editing Sessions
Client editing sessions are great for multiple reasons. We’re strong believers in incorporating them into our process when we can, because they’re a great way to connect with clients on a personal level and are typically big time-savers when it comes to the post-production process. Remote editing sessions allow our clients to sit with the FBC team and work in real time on a cut. However, due to COVID, traveling to our studio might not always be possible. That’s why we’re now offering virtual edit sessions. Our clients can join a live editing session via a video call. Once on the call, they’ll be able to see our editor’s screen and work with them in real time to perfect their video. This saves a ton of back and forth emails and rounds of revisions. Similar to remote video-production, the only thing that clients need to join is a video conference tool. We use Zoom, but any video chat software works. Watch your edit come to life in real time and save the hassle of organizing notes from an email chain.

Live Streaming Events
If your company organizes live events, retreats or fundraisers, moving everything to virtual can seem like an impossible task. That’s where we come in. We’re able to facilitate your event’s entire video stream from start to finish. Fan of the bells & whistles? No problem. Integrating polls, games, and other virtual group activities is a breeze.
Despite the ramifications of COVID-19, there is a glimmer of optimism when it comes to conquering these remote challenges. Being nimble & ever-changing is one of our core values and it’s clear that some remote techniques can foster a more efficient approach to video production. Who knows? Maybe some of these new approaches across the industry are here to stay.
